On a budget? It’s not very expensive or hard to whip up some delicious crepes while challenged with a tight end of the month budget. My men love them, most likely yours will too. Here is my recipe for Easy Honey Crepes. If you are new to your own kitchen or old enjoying crepes with fruit or honey always satisfies a hungry soul.
Recipe for Easy Honey topped Crepes
1 cup of milk
1 cup of water
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 table spoon of oil
1/2 tsp of salt
In a bowl whisk together eggs and flour, add the water and milk. Mix in really well till there are no lumps. Mix in oil and salt.
Heat a 12 inch skillet with little oil, on medium. Then pour about 1/4 of the crepe mix into the pan. While cooking the crepes tip the skillet from side to side covering the circumference of the skillet with the mix. When the crepe is cooked on one side it will be a piece of cake to flip. It only take a few minutes to cook so try not to over cook them. When ready run a table spoon of honey inside and over the crepes and serve with hot strawberry chai.
*Tip: A drop of light and fluffy whip cream on top may compliment the honey flavor if you are looking to add more decor to your crepes! I also use real honey.
